Beginning at age five, your child will be involved in the School Age, After School Programs at Milestones Early Educational Community in the Wolf Room. From Kindergarten onwards, the after school programs at Milestones serve as an independent resource for your child to excel in their studies, as well as furthering their developing social skills. This also gives your child time to get out their extra energy before heading home for the night.
In the afternoons, school-age children are offered a snack and time to work on their homework. After focusing on their studies, they are given time for free play. Students participate in engaging, self-directed activities and can choose between group options such as outdoor recess and indoor games, or individual activities like reading, drawing, and creative play. Our program also incorporates the Pyramid Model, with a continued focus on building friendship skills, social-emotional development, and positive peer interactions—even through the school-age years.
The after-school programs at Milestones Early Educational Community provide a strong, supportive extension of your child’s day. Milestones is a place where children can unwind after school, continue building the friendships they’ve made, and enjoy a consistent schedule with clear expectations as they transition from the school day to home.
