The Reggio Emilia curriculum is based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community in a supportive and enriching environment. This self-guided curriculum is built upon the interests of the children through exploration and discovery with the assumption that a child forms their own personality during the early stages of development. We also respect the parents as the child’s first teacher, and that’s why parent involvement is always invited and encouraged at Milestones Early Educational Community.
In order to be an accredited child care center by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Care and Education Programs, you must meet rigorous standards and guidelines for high-quality care, in which Milestones has continued to exceed. Milestones has also been determined as a five-star rated child care center by Youngstar, Wisconsin’s Child Care Rating Program.

Milestones will provide Parents Choice Advantage Formula, Oatmeal or Rice cereal, Stage 2 fruits, and Stage 2 Vegetables. You are also welcome to provide any other brands of formula or breast milk if you prefer. We also provide a pack n play at the center for nap times. Parents will need to provide: diapers, wipes, 2-3 bottles, 2-3 changes of clothes, and a blanket.
We will gladly work with your children to help them towards their independence in using the bathroom. We recommend waiting until the child is developmentally ready, and that usually happens around the time they enter the 2-year-old classroom. All children are different and will be ready on their own time. We will work with them when they are ready.
Milestones provides peace of mind by preparing nutritional, high-standard cooking and meals for the children that follows the guidelines set by the Wisconsin Food Program. You are welcome to provide any food of your choice for your child as a substitute to what we offer. We offer the full meal to all the children, and we encourage them to try all of the food. The teachers also sit and eat with the children in order to model good manners and healthy eating habits.
